Check whether echoing in a new line

Hi all,

In shell script i want to know whether echoing is happening in a new line else i have to take a new line and then echo.Is it possible??

Explain it litte more with some example. When you will do echo to some text, it will be displayed when you will run the script, so let's where you're stuck.
