Check user login log


How do I check the user login log from the shell? Can you also tell me wher it is located?

Various log files and such are in /var

I'm not sure which want you are looking for, but you might try /var/log/messages

What kind of logging info are you looking for? If you are looking for login times then do 'last'. 'last' looks through /var/log/wtmp.
