Check tape size
 
I have a DDS-4 tape drive in the server ( this server located at remote site ) , the DDS-4 drive supports DDS-2 , DDS-3 or DDS-4 , I know one tape is put on the drive but I don't know what is it - DDS-2 , DDS-3 or DDS-4 , can advise is there any command can check it ? thx

I am not sure if this will work (I don't have other than DDS4 here) but it worth the try: "mt status" and check the "Density code". My DDS4 tape returns "0x47".
I guess it will return a different "Density code" for other DDS tapes....
