Check disk after booting Ubuntu (64-bit)

Hi, I am using Ubuntu 64-bit on my Acer laptop. Every time while starting ubuntu it checks all disk partitions automatically. This consumes lot of time. Please help me to deactivate this auto check.

Are you doing a clean shutdown each time, or just powering off? This page

http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/fstab.html

will be able to help you out. Pay attention to the fifth and sixth variables in the fstab line. As a rule, though, fsck is only run when there is a file system problem, so disabling auto-run might not be a good thing.
