chat not dialing out

I'm trying to set up dial up modem but the chat program won't dial out.
The modem works just fine and I can dial out and connect to my isp using minicom. Had this working yesterday and now it doesn't work. Not sure what changed. The chat script just fails. It doesn't seem to be connecting with the modem or something because the modem never dials.
Any ideas??

Thanks,

reddog

fixed?

I was trying to use chat separately from the ppp-on-dialer. After minor adjustments to chat script and using it thru ppp-on-dialer it works!
Isn't Linux fun!!
