changing the icon of a single file

hello :)

is it possible in kde to change the icon of a single file? i mean, not all say .tar.gz files, just one.

What DE are you using (ie KDE, Gnome, et cetera)?

You can change folder icons but not file icons as far as I know...

hmm, that's much better than nothing :) thanks :)

What type of file icon are you trying to change?

iso files. i wanted to give them nice distro icons. but if it's impossible, i can cope with that :) changing the icons of folders is pretty much fun, too :)

I think its possible, but you have to fiddle around with the mimetype icons of your current icon theme. If you installed the icon theme as a normal user, then it sould be somewhere in ~/.kde/share/icons.
