Changing the boot screen created by Linux fedora core
Hi world,
As you know when you install linux and windows in a computer, linux creates a boot screen for choosing between windows and linux, and if you don't touch any key in that screen it will automticly choose linux, I wanted to know if i can change the order of the list, I mean make windows the operating systm that when i don't touch the keyboard run, i mean i want windows to be choosen automaticly .... How can I do it? |
Well, it depends on what boot loader you are using. Most likely you are using Grub. If thats the case you want to edit /boot/grub/grub.conf and change the 'default' setting.

the easiet way i know is once your have booted into linux..
click on start here then system settings then boot loader. i'm using fedora core 2 it should be the same in 1 i'm guessing. |
Yep, its the same.
Red Hat Icon > System Settings > Bootloader Obviously you need to supply the root password to make any changes. Kristijan |
