Changing Screen Resolution at Boot?
 

I am running Fedora Core 3.

I am visiting my family for a while and brought my computer with me. I left the monitor at home. The monitor here doesn't handle the high resolutions I run on my other monitor, so when I boot up Linux the monitor simply gives me an out of range message.

I am a Linux Newbie, so if you have any solutions how I might change the resolution at boot, that would help a lot.

Press <CTRL> <ALT> - to reduce the screen size.

If that doesn't work, then do a <ctrl> <alt> <backspace>

That should exit you out of X. You can then load SaX2 to change the screen resolutions prior to reloading X. (init 5)

I am on a dual-boot system, and after selecting Fedora Core in Grub it switches to a new resolution that the monitor can't handle, so I don't even get to KDE or anything.

I am just looking for some sort of command or something when the system is booting. It seems like something that would be possible.
