Changing Kernel Parameters


Hi

Does anyone out there know how to change kernel parameters and then recompile the kernel ?

I need to do this before

You have to go into the kernel source directory:
/usr/src/linux
and issue
make menuconfig
or
make xconfig (if running X)
or in KDE open Control Center (kcontrol) / System / Linux Kernel Configurator.
Here are some links to docs about configuring and compiling the kernel that I consider userful.
