Changing How Host Names are Looked Up


I would like to know how I can change how Host Names are looked up?

Changing How Host Names are Looked up (Your Reply)

In answer to your question none of the students in my class do not have a manual or any kind of information that would help us answer the questions that were given to us by the instructor. She instructed us to obtain the answer(s) in any we can, be it search engines on the Web or any Linux forum we can register with. We had asked our instructor why there wasn't any text book(s) for Red Hat Linux 9.1, she said the school only received 5 copies of the CD installation of Linux 9.1. The question: "Changing how Host Names are Looked Up" I had asked in my original post was under "Linux Network Configuration" on the sheet the instructor handed out to us.
