Changing from ATI to an nVidia card how do I do it?
 
I'm about to change from an ATI Radeon 8500 and install an nVidia GForceFX 5900 I know what to do in windows xp what about Linux (Mandrake 9.1)

open your case, take out ati card, plug in nvidia card ...boot up computer do the x config to set up nvidia card, go to www.nvidia.com and get the drivers to enable 3d capabilites, or leave it to use the nv default driver if you have no need for 3d capabilites :D
and thats the extent of it

Are you dual booting XP and Mandrake on the same hard drive?
