Changeing from KDE to Gnome

How do i choose which one i start up with. When i was booting to X it gave me the option in the login but im going to text mode now and running startx so i don't get the option and it just boots to KDE. Mandrake 8.1.

There is a utility called xtart that will give you a menu of installed WM's to choose from.
