Change screen rez on Ubuntu

I used Wubi to install Ubuntu on my mom's computer so she can try it. The only screen resolution available is 800x600. How do I fix it.? My other installs of Ubuntu offer many screen resolutions. Since this is my mom's machine she will need to make these fixes through the graphic interface and NOT the terminal. Otherwise, off come Ubuntu.

It could be the video card not supporting modes like 1024x768 or 1280x1024

or the ubuntu driver for the card.

if the first one doesn't i suggest to try other people suggestions before downloading ubuntu drivers
