Change my mac address

I wanna change my mac address on linux ubuntu 12.04 fully like TMAC does but problem is that i don't have access to the internet on my linux so can i download .deb file from somewhere and install it? please if you can write it step by step i'm newbie for linux ...

As far as i know TMAC is a bash script and should not require anything special to install. You can download it via any OS and copy it to your linux PC. Change its permissions to be executable.

So why do you need to change it and why do you need to change it to a random number?

I need to change it coz wifi connection which i need to access blocked my physical IP so i can't access it, but when i'm making it random with Technitium mac address changer it works fine.

I really don't think anyone here should be helping you get access to a network you were restricted from...

Getting access to a network you were specifically blocked out is cracking. The LQ rules don't allow questions regarding cracking, so you won't get an answer here and this thread will be closed soon.

Instead,... Remove your MAC address from the blacklist on the wireless access point,... problem solved...

Um... Well, well done for solving the problem, I guess - could you mark the thread as SOLVED please? (there's a link at the top of the page)
