Unhappy centOS7 virt-manager Gtk-CRITICAL


pLEEEEEASE Help. I am about to give up and go back to VMWare and 08r2!

I have installed Centos7 as hypervisor and cannot get virt manager to work, I have spent 30+ hours scouring every fix I can google and NOTHING is working...

What am I missing????

I will assume from the "Gtk-CRITICAL" in your post that is the error you are getting.

virt-manager a graphical GUI for KVM/QEMU and needs to be run an X-Windows environment.

If you try to start virt-manager on a text console, you will just get a series a Gtk-CRITICAL errors, and virt-manager will exit.
Set your system to run X-Windows on boot using:
systemctl set-default graphical.target
and reboot.

If your system doesn't boot to a graphical login, you need to install Gnome using:
sudo yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop"
