Centos VM no Full Screen

HEllo all,

I have installed Centos 5.3 as a VM on my XP professional machine, I am running centos in VM Player. Problem is that I am unable to maximize the VM to full screen, when I try to maximize it what happens is that the VM Player window maximizes as it should but the Centos remains the same size.

any help??

I have already googled this but wasn't able to find a solution.

Regards
Rock

What happens if you change the resolution of the CentOS VMWare?

There is only two settings in centos resolution 800 x 600 and smaller and it doest really help...

any other suggestions...

Have you installed VMWare tools; though, I think you can only do this using VMWare Workstation or VMWare Server?

Hey this problem has been fixed, thought it might be a good idea to share it with every one.

The solution isnt very scientific but it worked.

In the Centos VM --> SYSTEM--> administration--> display --> hardware --> COnfigure (monitor type) then select a higher resolution for example 1400x1050 and OK.

Logout and log back in again .......... Window can be maximised to full screen.
