Centos Bootable Media
Attempting to create a Centos 6 machine from scratch.
I've posted before but this is such a basic issue... When using a "Live" CD image the machine (aged Dell Poweredge 1300) boots fine, but this image is not good for installation. When burning "bootable" CDs e.g. Full install or network install the machine does not recognize the disk as a bootable CD/DVD. It boots from Windows (hut-spah) CDs fine and my desktop machine confirms the problem is with the burned CDs. Anybody got any ideas? All images downloaded from Centos Mirror sites. |

Which tool did you use to create the Install CDs?
I've successfully used ImgBurn on MSwin, but do ensure it burns as ISO, not file. HTH Alternately, have you got a LUG (Linux User Group) anywhere near you? |
