Centos 6.X error messages


Dear Experts,

I have recently noticed some errors coming out of my virtual machine:

Mar 8 12:04:36 centos8 kernel: EXT4-fs error (device sdf1): ext4_mb_generate_buddy: EXT4-fs: group 16284: 0 blocks in bitmap, 1 in gd
EXT4-fs error (device sdf1): ext4_mb_generate_buddy: EXT4-fs: group 16284: 0 blocks in bitmap, 1 Mar 8 12:05:51 centos8 init: tty (/dev/tty1) main process ended, respawning
Mar 8 12:11:39 centos8 kernel: EXT4-fs error (device sde1): ext4_mb_generate_buddy: EXT4-fs: group 15033: 8712 blocks in bitmap, 8713 in gd

Is there any way to fix these errors? Thank You

Looks like it might be a bug, is your system up to date?

CentOS release 6.7 (Final)

6.7 is up to date, so that shouldn't be an issue. Have you tried booting a live distro and running fsck on the partitions?

No I did not try to run live distro, I will try a shot tonight and let you know my findigs. Thank You,

looks like that fixed the problem, I have to admint that I used iscsi storage which is really pain if you have something going on with network etc .... I have moved it to local storage and run fsck fixing all corruption,
at least now I don't see any messages in my log.
