CentOS 5 screen resolution.
 
I ve recently installed CentOS 5 on my pc, everytime i boot it, it says

Not optimum mode
Recomended mode 1280x1024
in the screen resolution options i ve , this option is not there like

1280x800
1152x864
1280x768
1280x720
1152x768
1024x768
800x600
640x480
I tried including "1280x1024" in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file by editing the screen section.
but still nothing hpnd. what do i do know ?

can anyone pls help me.

Bit of an odd mode, perhaps better to ignore it. Did you put metamodes in front thus?

I suggest you proceed with

yum install xorg-x11-drivers

after that run system-config-display one more time

hey xorg-x11-drivers is already installed .

and run system-config-display set your monitor 1280x1024 and try choose thousand color
instead of million color
