Centos 5.5 standby problem when it boots back

Hi Experts,

I had Centos 5.5, after standby using sleeping mode pin in keyboard, it was going smoothly standby mode. Then when I was waking up, the screen frozen with a black screen, HDD is not responding at all using mouse.

Centos 6.5 newer version is working fine for this feature not for centos 5.5.

I wonder if you know how to make it work the standby mode in Centos 5.5.

Best Regards,
Andy

you are aware that centos 5.5 is out of support
upgrade to the current 5.10 ASAP!!!!
Code:

su -
yum --releasever=5.10 upgrade

standby did not work in the OLD legacy 5 series

Thank you so much for helping this!

W/O upgrading to 5.10, can we install only fixing Standy-Mode only?
