CEEDO

I have a Seagate Free Agent hard drive with CEEDO installed on it. Since this is a Windows based program, Linux doesn't recognize it.Tech support at CEEDO has no work arounds. I don't think they even considered running with Linux. I think it's a neat program so if anybody's had any experience with it and had success getting it to run on Linux,I sure would like some help. BTW I'm just getting started with Mandriva so I'm still feeling my way around since no one else I know runs Linux. Trying to wean myself from Microsoft.

Google turns up:

And it's not surprising they don't consider Linux. This sounds similar to the U3 junk software that comes on some USB sticks. It's of limited use, IMO. If you're trying to move from Windows to Linux, I'd just format the whole drive, and use it as storage. You'll get better speed, and no fragmentation as you do with Windows.

Thanx. When I get some more experience under my belt I'll try it. I have another smaller drive I'll experiment on. It's a neat program that I can plug into computers at work and browse or whatever and when I shut it down all the info stays on my free agent. It drives them crazy. They know something's happening but don't know what.
