cdrecord and ATAPI, that old chestnut
I'm having problems with cdrecord and my ATAPI CDR device.
I've been through some of the posts on the subject, saying how scsi must be emulated, so I've included the appropriate append option on GRUB, and in modules.conf, I've included the scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi thing. But still cdrecord --scanbus gives me the usual error lines. My next line of investigation is how I can verfiy I have scsi enabled in my install (knoppix hd install) in the first place. Is there anybody who could give me any other pointers? |
u can only use scsi and nothing else.
i mean atapi ,ata are emulated to scsi. to check the hd settings hdparm -i /dev/hda(or whatever) hdparm /dev/hda ;might also be useful |
How is the drive listed in /etc/fstab?
|
yes.
/dev/hda or /dev/hdc etc not the partitions not /dev/hda1 i men skip the number 1 |
