Hi there

Running Fedora Core1

I wan to burn some music but the file are in mp3 format. how or what can i do to write them in a cd in .track files?? with out any other program to convert.

Wich program i nead and hoy do i need to set it up.

Doesn't k3b come standard in Fedora? Simply 'Create New Audio CD', then drag and drop the MP3 files into the workspace. K3B converts from mp3, ogg, wav into normal audio format then burns.

No i dont have it installed.

Do i need to install first KDE so i can install it?
because i downlad the rpm. file the:

It is easier to go to your package management tool, search for k3b, and it will automatically grab all other dependancies required and install it for you. Or, yum

it automatically resolves dependancies when you want to install new software. Sorry I can't be more helpful, I haven't used Fedora, and advice from Redhat 8.0, my last experience, is probably out of date.

Im not using KDE, does this have to do something with it??

Probably.

If you look at the failed dependencies, they look a little like the libraries that you'd probably have if you had kde installed (of course, that's not guaranteed though). But you can have kde and gnome installed and you can pick whichever one you want at login stage!

You might take a look at x-cd-roast and see if that will fit your needs. Probably better than installing KDE along with Gnome.
