Question CD Player...

I have my sound working just fine except one thing... When I play a CD it plays it through the headphone jack in the cd drive rather than through the speakers anyone know how to make it play through the speakers instead?

You need to make sure of 2 things.

1 - your mixer settings are not muted, open a mixer and check the CD level is reasonably high.
2 - there is an audio cable from the back of the cd drive to your soundcard. Windows can do without this cable, but Linux can't.
