CD Drive Issues
I've just finished installing RH9, along with WineX3.1, and Enemy Territory. ET runs great, I updated the video drivers and it went without flaw. WineX I'm not sure if it works, because of the problem I'm having.
When I play an audio cd, the system works great, and I can listen to the cd perfectly. When I put it a game cd (I've tried War3, BF1942, and Diablo 2) the system locks up. The caps lock scroll lock and num lock lights on the keyboard are flashing, and nothing responds, so I have to power the machine off.
I'm totally lost, and suggestions would be much appreicated, thanks

You wouldn't have set up the CD rom for autoplay, would you?

I went to preferences, then cd properties, and unchecked everything, so that nothing would happened when I put the disc in.
It didn't freeze when I put the disc in , but a little while (~30seconds) after I typed: mount /dev/cdrom the machine would copmletely lock up again.

Since I don't do gaming, I am too retarded to really help you.
It sounds to me like you are going to have to read a whole bunch of docs and become a WineX guru.
Sorry.
