cd burner

what are all the commands/files I'd ordinarily need when making xcdroast work?

I know I'm not giving out much info on my puter, but I have absolutely no idea what and where to look for ...

If you already have it installed, then I think you would need one directory on your system where the program can place iso images and what not.

When you first run the program (it's in the menu, isn't it?) you will need to do some configuration, like telling it where that directory is, and telling it what kind of cd-burner you have and all that.

Now, if you don't have a scsi burner, then you are going to (at least) have to put this in /etc/lilo.conf (assuming that you use lilo):

append="hdc=ide-scsi" (replace hdc by whatever the device name of your cd burner is)

If that doesn't work, you are gonna have to re-compile your kernel with scsi-emulation support.... just get back to us if that happens.

good luck
