Card reader and bluetooth undetected on mandriva 2007.1 spring loaded in acer aspire

How can i make mandriva 2007.1 spring, loaded on an acer aspire 4710 laptop, detect its blue tooth and card reader? Thank you very much, sorry for my stupidity. The data on the:

1.card reader: 5-in-1 card reader, supporting Secure Digital (SD),
MultiMediaCard (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick
PRO (MS PRO), xD-Picture Card (xD)

2.Bluetooth: WPAN: BlueTooth 2.0+EDR (enhanced Data Rate)

Again, the thing is an Acer ASpire 4710 laptop loaded with Mandriva 2007.1 Spring.

Thank you very much for your kind attention.

I had the same problem with the card reader on an Acer with mdv2007.1. There is no support for that device in the kernel used by mdv2007.1; it's an issue with the manufacturer of the card reader used by Acer and many other distros released around that time have the same problem. There's really not much you can do about it other than compiling and installing an updated kernel as the device is supported in later kernels. I don't recommend that as mandriva has heavily patched custom kernels and you are likely to have problems compiling and installing your own kernel and getting it run properly on mandriva.

I believe the device is supported in mdv2008 but I no longer have my Acer so I can't tell you for sure. I'd recommend installing mdv2008 since that will undoubtedly have better bluetooth support as well. Here's a link for mdv2008:
