Can't view MSWord documents in KWord

Hi guys,

I'm running Mandy 8.2.

I just tried to view some MS Word documents in KWord and it said something about an importer error. Can't import the file. I looked in the KWord help file and it says that the importers for MS Word are not working at this time.

Does anybody know if there is a fix for this and if not, is there another word processor program I can get that will allow me to work with my MS Word documents.

Thanks,
freezinbutt

Thanks guys. I'll get over there and download 5.2. I guess I better do it before SunMicro changes their minds and make us pay for 5.2 also.:D

Thanks for the ideas,

Isn't Openoffice suppoesed to be better than staroffice? I still didnt have a chance to try it (dial up 56k modem - it'll take days do download  ) but if u are already downloading a office suite you might want to get openoffice. I also heard it doesnt have the so annoying desktop...

Hope that helps.......

Oh man...sun is ruining the tradition. Oh well the software is good enough to pay as long as it isn't over 50 bux.
