what is this unknown "disk" ?
you do not need k3b to copy data off a dvd data disk
just copy it to a folder, just like you would do on a windows computer
if it is a movie dvd
well - forum rules prevent us from helping you break the law
@john vv my pc is hooked to tv DVD player broke and I'm not going to buy a new 1 wen my puter has a movie player but it won't play eather sez the same shit so I try to copy it to the puter sez blah blah again so I ask fer help if u don't want to help me don't hide be hind "the law" it ain't like uv never dl any thing

While you may have become frustrated because things don't work like you want that doesn't give you any reason to take it out on a fellow LQ member the way you did here.
I suggest you concentrate solely on fixing your problem. Should the DVD be crippled by a protection scheme then indeed circumvention of restrictions isn't a LQ topic.

And since you didn't bother telling us that you were just trying to play a DVD, how are we supposed to know?? We aren't going to guess as to what encrypted disc you're trying to decode is, what version/distro of Linux you're using, or what your goals are. If you can't ask a clear question, don't expect a clear answer. And you also need to spell out your words...that text-speak junk doesn't make anyone want to try to decipher it to answer you, especially when you give nasty answers.
