cant su to root!
Hi,
Just done a stage2 of gentoo 2004.3. Went great! The only problem is that I currently cannot login as root from a normal user. I get:
# su -
Password:
su: Permission denied
Sorry.
#
I can login directly to root, by doing a <CTRL><ALT><F2> and going in as root. But if I am logged in as a normal user, I can't login as root.
Any ideas?
Jamie

Is your user in the wheel group? Like BSD, Gentoo only allows user switching if you are in the wheel group by default.
