Cant read arabic letters in terminal
 
Hi all,
I am using openSuSe 11.2 Milestone but I cant read arabic folders or names in terminal they appear like ????? but when i write arabic letters they are ok so what is the problem in reading ??

A combination of locale change and fonts should solve this -- one or the other, or both, are at fault.

Do you mean that I must add more fonts ? What about locale too I can see its en_US

Set the locale to your locale, not en_US, which is certainly wrong.

(long pause)

After a Google search, I think maybe "ar_EG" is the right locale for your location. But there is still the issue of fonts. During a typical modern Linux installation, the installer offers many foreign support packages. If you selected the Arabic one, then you should be all right and the locale change will be enough to get things working.
