cant mount cd drive?

quick question... Ive been trying to get my cd drive working, was following another thread but I got to the point where I'd put mount <yadda> and mine says it is not a block drive. in my fstab i'm assuming hda1 is my drive since its mounted to "/" and hdc is my cd drive? Any ideas?

mandrake installs Supermount by default, and most likely whe you insert a CD it get's mounted on a mount point automatically... I am not sure where in your case but if you open a terminal and type:

mount <enter>

you will see all the drives currently mounted and what the mount points are... something like:

/dev/hdc on /mnt/cdrom... etc...

In that case your files would be located here:

ls /mnt/cdrom
