Cant make Pianobar work on Lubuntu?

I am struggling to get Pianobar working on my old laptop running Lubuntu, Even following directions on the internet I can not get certain needed files to download and I start hitting errors.

I got Pianobar running on my Mac last year no issues, I dont know if I am just not doing something correct in Lubuntu language or if I am following the wrong steps.

To begin where should I start? I deleted all attempts and I want to start fresh.

Can't you just use synaptic to install pionobar or, from the command line, run the following?
Code:
sudo apt-get install pianobar

I have deleted all attempts I will try sudo-apt again.

I have followed the directions on all of the different blogs that pop up after googling "Lubuntu Piano bar install"

EDIT: If I run sudo apt-get install pianobar it works but then I get the usual TLS fingerprint error. this is where my noobiness comes in but I can not find the Pianobar files on the computer in order to update the TLS number. This is the same issue I had on my mac. After running that command where do the pianobar files go to? How do I access them?

This is the online blog I followed and got very close to working but for some reason one portion of it was not right.

So I run
Quote:
sudo apt-get install libao-dev libgcrypt11-dev libgnutls-dev libfaad-dev libmad0-dev libjson0-dev make pkg-config
Terminal says that package "insert name of each package in above command" is already up to date
0 upgraded 0 installed 0 removed 1 not upgraded

Then if I try and run the
Quote:
make
command it tells me a fatal error occured and lists off a bunch of packages not found.

Is there anyways to copy and paste its output directly without an actual screen shot?

Sorry, it appears from the links given that Pianobar is one of those third-party applications that the content owners like to block regularly so it requires a lot of tweaking to get working. Unless somebody is using it they'll likely not be bale to help. I don't even have a Pandora account so I certainly can't.

Thanks, ya it was pretty painless to get running on my mac but its not as friendly on Lubuntu.

If all else fails I will take it to my buddy who is a lot more fluent with Linux and see if he can set me up. He runs Piano Barfly but I am guessing Pianobar should be easier to run than that

Config file for Pianobar

When I setup Pianobar in mint17 I had to put a config file in /home/user/.config like this:

Code:
user = me@gmail.com
password = *********
audio_quality = high
volume = 0
tls_fingerprint = 13CC51AC0C31CD96C55015C76914360F7AC41A00
you at least need the [tls_fingerprint] line. Then name it 'config' and put in /home/user/.config
