Cant Install Fedora 10 or Ubunta Portable - PCLinuxOS works great

Hi well im a newbie(all of 10min) i downloaded the live versions of Fedora 10, Ubunta Portable and PCLinuxOS. PCLinuxOXS installed without a hitch. Great. When i tried to install the other 2 i had the same problem. They both started to boot from the DVD, Picked Language, started to go through the motions of loading then the monitor came up with "Out of Range" i am presuming it they have a setting the monitor does not like. Its a Toshiba 22" Tekbright. Fairly New. It is also doing this on my Samsung 40" LCD TV. Can anyone advise of what can be done to overcome this? thanks in advance.

TRy to boot Ubuntu or Fedora in the verbose mode
As soon as it boots after loading the kernel press the Esc key hope fully it brings you in the verbose mode and come with a useful error message
