cant install .bin files, tar.gz files or anyother format!!!
 
i searched the forum and it said somewhere to right click the file, click Open With, and type sh. but it still doesnt open...anything else i should be doing

that instruction was for a script.
you should probably stick with .rpm files for now.
and use your package manager.

but the files that i need to one are in bin files...mabye i can find the files in rpm :)

ok i just installed the rpm of limewire and it says everything is installed...but where is limewire? installed at? :S

it could be anywhere, but you probably mean, where is
it in the menu? programs don't usually get put in the
desktop menus when you install stuff. depending on
your linux version, the menus may be updated at boot
time.

you can open a terminal on the desktop, and type the
name of the executable. lw? limewire? lwire?
i don't know what it is.
