Question Cant get on Internet

I have SUSE 10.0 on my computer which is currently dualboot with Windows XP. The problem I have is that I cannot get on the internet. I have a have Webstar cable modem that is connected to my computer thru USB. I tryed everything in the book
Could someone please help point me in the right direction to solve this problem...

You might want to consider adding a wired router between your computer and the cable modem. It will give you a simple internet connection (since that will be set up on the router, not the Linux box), and if you tell the router to use DHCP to give you an IP address the Linux box should connect almost automaticly. It also gives you another layer of security.

I have this arrangement, so I have never had to set up a cable modem from Linux. Good luck.
