cant get audio cd burned with ubuntu to play in radios & brasero won't accept mp3?
Hi i've been trying to burn some of my music onto cd. While i am able to get the music transferred to a cd using the cd/dvd creator software it will not play in any radio. it will play in dvd players (sometimes). i have lowered the burn speed to the lowest (8x) and to no avail. Also i have tried using the brasero software but it will not accept mp3's which is pretty much what all the music is. is there an easy way to convert them to wav? thanks!

I spent hours last night trying to burn an image to many CDs and DVDs using Brasero. Basically, Brasero sucks. I seem to remember it working several Ubuntu version back, but as of 11.10, anyway, it just burns coasters like a furnace burns coal.
So anyway, try using some other cd/dvd software. People seem to think k3b from KDE works pretty well. I myself am looking for another app to use in GNOME. GnomeBaker is out of the repos as of Oneiric, it looks. |
GnomeBaker has native mp3 abilities (Similar to Nero) and will work if you can find it.
try sudo apt-get install gnomebaker make sure all of your repositories are available and you might find it in synaptic update: try this one for 11.10 I believe sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnomebaker/stable sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gnomebaker |
:) thanks for the replies. I'll give these a shot and see what happens next. here's hoping!
