cant find glib in xchat install
hi, im running mandrake 9.1,
i get this when i do the ./configure of xchat install: checking for GLIB - version >= 2.0.3... no *** Could not run GLIB test program, checking why... *** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the *** exact error that occured. This usually means GLIB is incorrectly installed. configure: error: "Cannot find glib" so i reinstalled glib, the newest version, and it says everything went fine, but its still not found when i compile xchat. is there a way i could check to see if it is installed correctly? or am i doing something wrong? also "xmms" freezes for some reason whenever its run under KDE, it works perfectly fine with Gnome. |
mandrake comes with xchat on a cd. just type urpmi xchat.

did you burn 3 cd's? Even if you download mandrake you still get xchat on cd.
