cant connect to the internet/ no network adapter
 

I went to upgrade to kubuntu 9.10(ordered cd,did not burn image) the setup crashed. I then reinstalled kubuntu 8.04.1 and was getting a grub error. So, removed kubunto entirely and installed windows and kubuntu side by side. The os' look and feel right, but cant access the internet in either os?? Any and all help would be great!!

try ifconfig eth0 down, then ifconfig eth0 up

where do i do that in kubuntu
