Canon Pixma IP90 and Redhat linux

Does anyone know of a driver that is already built into Redhat Linux V5 that will work adequately with a Canon Pixma iP90 printer.

Having trouble getting a suitable driver from "Turboprint"

Thanks for any info

Welcome to LQ!!

I stumbled on this recently:
http://www.canon-europe.com/Support/software/linux/

Click on the Pixma compatibility link---it shows the IP90 as being supported.

Did you try installing the Printer using whatever comes with RedHat?

Yes I had alraedy looked it up but can not find anywhere to download it from. It seems as though the iP90 has been forgotten.

Any suggestions as to the printer that may be compatible, there are quite a few in the printer list in Redhat

I did not realize that that site had no downloads. Why not contact Canon and ask them?

If you look at their table, there are several models that all use the same driver. That gives a pretty good clue as to what OpenSource Linux drivers are going to work. For example, my system offers a driver for the ip4300 which--on the Canon site--is tha same driver as for your printer.
