Hi Guys,
Due t a crashed HD, I re-installed opensuse 13.2, but I can't print anymore : see error messages below. How can I make it work again . Marc

open up firefox and go to
http://localhost:631/

and set up your printer using the cups interface

Further to that, did you download/install the Canon drivers again? (Printer and scanner drivers are available.)

I removed the printer with yast and re-installed using http://localhost:631/

now i get new error lines :
canonmg6650: File "/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertocanonij" not available: No such file or directory
canonmg6650: File "/usr/lib/cups/filter/cmdtocanonij2" not available: No such file or directory

When I look at /usr/lib/cups/filter/ with konqueror, then both files are visible at the right location

@ ferrari : the drivers were allready installed.

It prints only the piece form 11cm to 21 of the test page in black/grey now

this is what I get viewing the printer :
Description: Canon MG6600 series
Location:
Driver: Canon MG6600 series Ver.5.00 (color, 2-sided printing)
Connection: usb://Canon/MG660020series
Defaults: job-sheets=none, none media=iso_a4_210x297mm sides=one-sided

Ok, but you mentioned that you had re-installed openSUSE, so if that was the case, you'd need to re-install the proprietary drivers.
