tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
For this reason , I cannot compress my big size file . Plz give me some suggestion how can I compress my files ?

Here i mention that , I m going to use "gzip" utility , but it also not work for a big size file . It can make gzip which file are already "tar" Like :
gzip test.tar

But here in this case , Tar is the main problem for big size file .... Help me ...

Are you sure you read;
man tar
Put the file in a directory you create and;
tar -cjf foo.tar.bz2 bar/
create bzipped tar archive of the directory bar called
foo.tar.bz2

Sure you got enough disk space?
Do df -h to check.

Also what command(s) are you using?
