Cannot start ISO file with kvm Opensuse 12.3

Hello,

I have installed virutal machines in the past with virt-manager with no problem, but recently, I cannot install from an ISO.

I can still install from a physical disk so the problem is probably mounting the iso.

I get this error when I try to install.

Code:
cannot open file '/root/home/petreuss/Downloads/linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso': No such file or directory
Any ideas?

This error clearly says that file does not exist i.e. if file is present, then the path you've mentioned is not correct.

Can you check:
Code:
~$ ls -l /home/petreuss/Downloads/linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso
OR
~$ find / -name 'linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso' -print

thats why I dont understand why Im getting that error.

The file does exist and I can create a dvd with it.

Here is what I get from running those commands:

Code:
inux-server:/home/petreuss # ls -l /home/petreuss/Downloads/linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso
rwxrwxrwx 1 petreuss users 1095761920 Mar 21 09:39 /home/petreuss/Downloads/linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso
linux-server:/home/petreuss # find / -name 'linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso' -print
find: `/run/user/1000/gvfs': Permission denied
find: `/var/run/user/1000/gvfs': Permission denied
/home/petreuss/Downloads/linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso

First, you'll need to mount that as a loopback fs eg https://code.google.com/p/iredmail/w...Yum_Repository, then http://linux.dell.com/files/whitepap..._made_easy.pdf & http://linux.dell.com/files/whitepap...Easy_Part2.pdf

Then obviously file exists as:
Code:
/home/petreuss/Downloads/linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso
Not under /root as:
Code:
/root/home/petreuss/Downloads/linuxmint-14-kde-dvd-64bit.iso
So make appropriate changes wherever needed, and try again.

thank you very much.

The installer added /root to the location for some reason. I took it out and now it works perfectly.
