Cannot select ethernet card on Debian installer

I am trying to install Debian on my Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen 2. When I try to select the 'iwlwifi' ethernet card firmware option in the 'Detect Network Hardware' section, the installer just goes back to the 'Detect Network Hardware' menu again, with no error messages. The laptop has an Intel wireless card. So far, I've only tried using the non-free firmware .iso file, since the 'iwlwifi' package is in the non-free repository. Is there anything I can do? Thanks.

i'm not sure i understand.
ethernet usually refers to wired network connections, not wifi?

What install medium are you using? If it is unofficial one with firmware on it, then it should automatically detect and select your wifi card, if you do not use wired connection.
