I have recently installed Fedora core 4 but cannot seem to find how to set up my screensaver, any suggestions would be more than welcome.

If you are using KDE, make sure kdeartwork and xscreensaver is installed. As root user ( su - ) run yum ...
yum install kdeartwork xscreensaver-*
Then, you right click on the desktop area / Configure Deskop / Screen Saver.

If you are using Gnome, I can't be of much help at the moment.

#yum list | grep -i xscreensaver
A list of xscreensaver related packages will be listed, install all of them except the devel packages.
