Cannot restore desktop after screensaver starts

Anyone else seen an issue where VNC'ing to a box, if the screensaver starts (i.e. blank screen) then no clicking, key strokes or mouse movements will get you back to the desktop?..?

Doesnt matter if I do it from my own lan or remotely.

I have had that exact issue with fedora core 5. definitely over WAN, not sure I ever encountered it over LAN but I never needed such a long ongoing vnc session over LAN.

unfortunately I can provide little more than confirmation of the bug, never found a fix for it myself. just turned the screensaver off and turn off my monitor when not in use to keep from killing them.
