Cannot resize or move windows in KDE 3.3.1 within Chicken of the VNC session

I have a long running (few weeks) Chicken of the VNC session opened to a CentOS Linux system running KDE 3.3.1-a7.el4.1 Red Hat as window manager.

It was working OK until today when it stopped responding to windows move or resize with the mouse.
I can create new windows, minimize them, or delete them but I can't move or resize them.

Disconnecting the VNC session and re-connecting to same session does not help.

Is this a known problem?
Is it KDE issue or a VNC issue?
Is there any way to overcome that and revive my VNC/KDE session?

Thanks
