cannot ping.

I have installed ubuntu on my laptop. Everything looks good but
cannot ping to any other system on the network.
Not sure of whats wrong.

I am using wireless on this laptop to connect to the network.
I have adsl connection and wifi seems to be fine. I can browse internet.

I have several ssytems on the intranet and cannot ping these systems.

Some of them are windows.

Ping probably uses your ethernet card. It has a way to choose the interface though:
Code:
ping -I eth1 google.com
My wireless is eth1 at least, you can see yours with ifconfig. Good luck.

Do you have your intranet systems included in /etc/resolv.conf, or whatever other facility you use to resolve host names to their addresses?
