Has it always been like this, or did something change?
What is the complete error message?
Try right-clicking on a file and selecting properties. Look for the part about permissions and tell us what you find.

Also, open a terminal and use "cd" and "ls" to move around and list files. See if you can open any files using "more" or "cat"

Wink

I dont make any change cause i m new in Linux OS.I used the default setting and try to gain myself to learn linux.

Let's say i save a file using text editor and save it at desktop.The file name "team".when i exit the text editor and try to open again by double click to the file,the prompt said "Couldn't display "/root/Desktop/team".

In properties(permission):
File group and File owner is set as root.
Owner,Group,Other---> all tick
special flags ----->all untick

Tq my myfriend

Have you tried viewing the file in a terminal? Also, you aren't using the root account all the time are you? It sort of sounds like you are.
