Cannot mount my Floppy drive while creating driver floppy

Hi , I am having a Promise TX4650 RAID controller & trying to create a driver floppy for installing the drivers. Also am using RHEL 5, I can create the driver floppy, but when I type "mount /dev/fd0 /media/floppy" I get error: "mount: mount point /media/floppy does not exist"

Can I get the files in a format other than the ext2 floppy image, so that we do not need to use a floppy drive?

Link for the controllers drivers : http://www.promise.com/support/downl...all&os=3&go=GO

There is a readme file inside the driver archive & you can use that as a reference. PLEASE ASSIST ME !!

The message is telling you that there is no subdirectory under /media called /floppy.

In most systems, /media is "reserved" for GUI automount targets, and /mnt is used for "by-hand" mounts. Since the floppy drive cannot "anounce" a new disk inserted, it needs to mounted "by hand."

So, either do a mkdir /media/floppy or, if you want to use the "Linux way," a mkdir /mnt/floppy and then issue the mount command. (If you use /etc/fstab, you may want to put noauto in the options section.)
